Event at Living Art Studio
I was intrigued to try painting in 3D after finding some photos, and wondering, "Would that work as a painting?”
Well, there are no books on this subject. So after many years of experimenting and figuring out methods on my own, I finally had my first painting "The Stage" exhibited here.
I painted a few others, and people loved them. That's when I decided to explore this further. I started taking 3D photos on vacation for reference photos, which give a much better sense of being there, and as reference they do help with the perspective of how these work.
When painting however, you find that each picture is different and is a new puzzle with its own individual challenge.
They work better when you stand a little further away (about 5 feet), and some things in the paintings, like Frankenstein's hand and face, will follow your movement.
Thank you for coming to my exhibit, ENJOY!
