Artist Statement

I've been using photography to express myself since those whacky 60's. What the media has labelled “sub-cultures” were always what attracted me and by the end of that decade I had easily slipped into the lifestyle. I was no longer photographing from the outside. I was now making environmental portraits and living landscapes of my life.

And so it grows. Since retiring from teaching my craft for 30 years, I am leisurely strolling through a huge collection of negatives and slides to determine what I've actually accomplished with my photographic life. Basically, it appears I've been having one helluva lot of fun and making great friends.

Enjoy some of this with me. Talk to me. Share your thoughts. I'd like that. I'm especially pleased to be doing this at Anthem, where I have friends that I love and respect.
