From Chris:
This is an all day painting extravaganza, we will be painting from 10am until 10pm; All painting supplies are provided by me, just show up and be ready to paint, learn, absorb, share, and get messy with it all day long. Bring water and snacks… and adult beverages of your choice!
What is Painting without fear you ask....
This workshop is for ANYONE interested in painting with ACRYLIC paints; beginners and experienced painters alike. No matter where you are starting from, you will surely learn something new. Everyone will have something inspiring to share, and everyone will have a great time. You do not need to be a tattoo artist, or even an artist to join in. Students under 18 are welcome, but should be accompanied by a parent.
If you know my work, then you know I work WAY outside of the box. I will be painting alongside all of you; hopefully creating an entire painting from start to finish that day along with each of you. I will be encouraging all of you to think and work the same way; to challenge yourselves to try things you've never tried before, to re-invent your way of thinking about what painting is and what makes it good art. So, if you're one of those folks who has been telling yourself for years that you "can't" paint, or that you'll never be any "good" at it, this is your opportunity to change all of that.
I WILL PROVIDE ALL OF THE MATERIALS YOU NEED!
So if this is something you have never tried before, don't worry! Everyone will be given a canvas, some paints and a variety of brushes to work with. I will also be providing a wide variety of reference images for everyone to choose from. Then I will give step by step instructions to get your painting set up and started, and from that point on, it’s up to you to follow and challenge your own creativity.
