Luke Edwards
Start: June 21, 2015, midnight
Event at Anything's Possible Tattoo Studio
Luke joined his first band at the age of 13. At 19 he moved from his native North Carolina to Los Angeles with the alt-rock band “Animal Bag”, and by the age of 22 had inked a recording deal with Mercury Records.
After releasing two albums with Animal Bag and touring throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico in the early 90’s, Edwards returned to western North Carolina and put together the alt-country/bluegrass band, “Tater”.
Tater’s blend of country, bluegrass, and rock is where Luke developed his unique style of playing and songwriting, dubbing it “Hi-Test Hillbilly”. For 13 years Tater toured the Southeast, building scores of hardcore fans (the Tater Family), and even gaining some national attention from CMT.
Tater called it quits in 2013. Since then Luke has continued with a solo career, refining and rearranging the vast catalog of songs he has written over the last 25 years, as well as working on new songs for an upcoming solo release.
