Recently Texas Tattoos And Art Gallery hosted a photo shoot for our annual calendar project, which we use to raise money for local charity. Every year we ask for tattoo people to volunteer their time and come out for a day filled with feeling good about ourselves, our appreciation for art, and sharing it all for a great cause. This year we hosted a large group of tattooed men and women from all walks of life and various tattoo artists of north Texas. We had the help of make up and hair artists, and the amazing Tracey Felty-Cattelino of Tracey Lynne Photography to capture the essence of each tattooed fanatic, with behind the scenes shots provided by Onyx Armstrong of Onyx Armstrong Photography. The idea is that even though we are all very different, with different tastes in art and artists, we can all work together to make one beautiful project come to life, walk away with a better sense of self, perhaps a new friend or two, and knowing that we helped someone right here in our backyard.

Because we had such an amazing turn out of volunteers wanting to show off their tattoos, we had a very difficult time choosing only 12 photos to be featured in the calendar.
