Heres a bunch of FAQ's!!!!
1Why on Earth do we have a once a month consultation day????
Easy!! We tattoo, A LOT!! There was a time in my career when working in a street shop that artists would often, OFTEN be interrupted while tattooing. This forces the artist to lose focus and the client to lose their adrenaline zone. By eliminating interruptions, we are able to better cater the clients in our chairs. So, rather than discussing tattoo ideas and booking appts whenever people chose to come by the shop, we created the once a month consultation day. An entire 11 hour (sometimes 13 hour) day (the first wednesday of the month) dedicated completely to meeting all of our new clients, discussing tattoo ideas and options, booking appointments (sometimes large pieces take more than one appt), and take deposits for said appt. ($60 deposit cash/credit/debit is taken to hold an appt)
It is also the BEST time for our ongoing clients to come discuss their next ideas and book future appts.
And we ALWAYS have a new different monthly gift for ALL clients booking appts.
2Do we EVER have a consultation day NOT on a Wednesday?
No. Those other days are the days we are tattooing. As I said prior, we tattoo, A LOT. We easily never work only 40 hours a week. 50 is an easy week, 60 is the norm. And we travel to conventions/guest spots often---which are always thurs-mon. At home, we generally are tattooing Friday-Monday and are often also booking our days off to try to keep up with the demand.
Yes, this is a wonderful problem to have.
3Are kids allowed in the shop??
OF COURSE!!! We all have kiddos as well and understand not being able to always get a sitter. BUT!!! While at consultation day lil rambunctious ones are not a problem, while getting tattooed is another story. If your lil guys are 6 and under, Id HIGHLY suggest bringing a friend, or better yet, have the friend stay home with the babes. You need to be able to focus to meditate through the pain and if you have to keep listening for you babes, then youll never zone out. Remember, tattooing is like therapy, and this is YOUR time.
4How can you best organize your tattoo ideas???
Create a pinterest board of ideas. You can upload your phone images to the boards. You can search through pinterest and collect ideas. DONT just look at other peoples tattoos. They belong to THEM. Look at art, photos, statues, jewelry, tapestries, movie screen shots, wallpapers, etc. Anything we can see we can use as inspiration for tattoos. Bring your board to us and we can discuss your ideas and pull it up on our computer. Amy's is also avail to help guide you. search preciselyveiled, she has almost 6,000 pins of GOOD reference.
5I have a scar I want covered, how old must it be?
A year at the minimum.
6I have a tattoo I need covered but I have no idea what with or what can cover it??
Imagine the piece was entirely gone and you had to get something that size or larger, FULL COLOR, what would you want to wear?? Answer that question and I can then design a tattoo that youd love.
7Im in a wheelchair and cant go up your stairs.

8Your schedule is CRAZY long and I don't wanna wait that long??!!
Well, I do have good news for you then. Our shop generally has guest artists each month. This means you can book earlier with one of our awesome and qualified friends. They come from all over the US and are mostly the people that travel to tattoo at conventions with us. We love them and they love tattooing, so all is good. Their work is being posted daily on this page!! So scroll through to see them and find their links. They can also be found on our website www.preciselyveiledtattoo.com
9Can i sign for my under 18 child to get tattooed, like parental consent??
NO. It is completely illegal to tattoo a minor in the state lf Texas and has been since 1999. 18 is 18.
10My minor child is to turn 18 in a few months/days/year, can they consult now AND schedule an appt for AFTER they turn 18??
YES!!!!!! We can book a year in advance if necessary.
11Im/my spouse is about to/is on deployment/training/etc and is going to miss consult day. Can I come in their place and relay what they want and book an appt?? Or send an email/message to schedule for when I return?
This is a case by case basis, most times yes. If we can talk to them on skype or email or messanger to confirm details, this can work. Sometimes people dont know exactly what they want, so this becomes difficult to know how much time to book. Either way, come by/contact us, we can try to set this up.
