Charleston-based songwriter Joel T. Hamilton creates eclectic indie rock using a potpourri of instruments and found objects. His current project, Mechanical River, recently released its 10-song debut, Astral Castle, a self-produced album on which Joel sings and plays a homemade cigar-box guitar, keyboard, and percussion. Joel has released over a dozen records under various monikers and has toured across the country.
