Tattooing To Save Babies
Start: Sept. 14, 2013, 2 p.m.
End: Sept. 15, 2013, midnight
Event at Graceland Tattoo
For the second year in a row Graceland Tattoo will be part of the 6th annual Tattooing to Save Babies, a benefit to support the March of Dimes in their fight against premature births, infant mortality, and lifelong disabilities.
Tattoo artist Ken Motter, also known as Krooked Ken, is the originator of Tattooing to Save Babies. He and his wife suffered the loss of two infant daughters who were born prematurely. Over the past six years they have been able to raise nearly $60,000 for the March of Dimes.
Ken has reached out to tattoo artists across the country for support in fighting this battle. Graceland Tattoo will step up again in helping to spread the word. Last year they were able to raise $4,000 and are looking to surpass that this September.
The artists at Graceland Tattoo will begin tattooing at 10am on Saturday September 14th. People will be able to choose from pre-drawn designs that will range in price from $50 to $100. All proceeds will be donated to the March of Dimes. It will be walk-in first come, first served. People are also welcome to enter a raffle for gift certificates or drop off donations independently of getting tattooed. Together we can make a better future for those born too soon.
