Tattoos and Piercings Against Cancer!

Have you or a loved one been touched by cancer? Join us for a day of tattooing and piercing for charity!

On November 11th, 2011 Tattoo Charlie’s will be doing cancer ribbon tattoos in your choice of awareness colors all day for charity. All proceeds will be donated to Meghan’s Mountain Charitable Foundation benefiting direct patient care for children and adults in our community. “Charlie, my dad, taught me the value of giving back to the community with all of the charity work he did.” says Buddy Wheeler, Tattoo Charlie’s son. “Meghan’s father Jerry and my dad were very close friends for decades. It is an honor to be able to give to their foundation in my dad’s name.”

All day at each studio we will be tattooing cancer ribbons in your choice of awareness color for donations. We will have a page of ribbons to choose from with a minimum suggested donation of $40. You are welcome to donate less or more though.

We will also be donating half of the proceeds from all piercings that day to charity.

Our charity is Meghan’s Mountain Charitable Foundation. Meghan’s dad Jerry and Charlie were great friends for decades. She is a cancer survivor and started a foundation to provide direct patient care to local children and adults. Meghan's Mountain has, to name a few, purchased TV's and Wii games for kids at Kosair, supported free summer camps for kids with cancer, purchased recliners, blanket warmers and TV's for the James Graham Brown Cancer Center, as well as financial contributions to Gilda's Club Louisville.

All three studios will be open regular hours for the event but will be doing cancer ribbon tattoos only on a walk in basis, no appointments taken. Preston Hwy will be open from 10am to midnight, Dixie and Lexington will both be open from noon to 10pm. For everyone who donates, whether they get tattooed or not, you will be entered into a raffle drawing at the end of the day. We have an autographed Denny Crum basketball, 3 $100 Tattoo Charlie’s gift certificates, stainless steel TC coffee mugs, and diner style TC coffee mugs all in the raffle currently.

Lil Cheezers food truck will be on hand from 11am to ??? at the Preston hwy studio serving up their famous gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches. They will be donating 10% of their proceeds for the event to Meghan’s Mountain as well!

We expect to be very busy so please be patient with us as we will not rush though anyones tattoo, including yours. We will tattoo as many people as we can and have high hopes of raising lots of money for Meghan! If you come in and we are not able to get to you, we apologize. We are not doing this fund raiser just to do cheap tattoos though, we are doing it to raise money for charity. We will be thrilled to tattoo you another day and make your tattoo dreams a reality. You are still welcome to make a tax deductible donation to Meghan’s Mountain and be entered in our raffle drawings.
