As they say, cheap things are a lower quality than their expensive counterparts, but it wasn't a sketchy place like I had imagined! I was concerned about taking my daughter there simply because of the cheap price.

If I could do a zero star, I would. I am currently waiting to get my daughters earring surgically removed after a Cartledge piercing. The bar was way too...
Staff was very friendly and helpful. $10 body piercings on Saturday and Sunday.
York Ink: What people says...
$10 Piercings on the weekends, and some of the fastest, best trained, and professional artists and piercers in York! Stop in and check out the new shop!!
York Ink can go either way... You get what you pay for. I've had numerous piercings done here. The owner pierced my industrial at a very awkward angle and I.
They used a surgical steel horseshoe for her septum, and even though the process was very quick, the piercer was experienced, explained the process, and gave us the aftercare instructions. So the fact that everything was done in the same way it would be at a location charging a much higher price, I was very impressed with the professional jewelry and service (I feel I'm knowledgeable enough to judge after having my lips, septum, nostril, cheeks, labret, nipples, and belly button pierced at other shops) for only $10.
During the week, piercings are only $20! They were also willing to pierce my daughter at 14. I needed to provide my ID, her birth certificate, and sign a parental consent form, which made me feel a lot better.
Even though we had to go home for her birth certificate and go again the next day, I felt more secure with them requiring it. If they'd been willing to do it no questions asked, I'd have known it was a sketchy place and left.
I'm really bummed right now. I had to take my tragus ring out, and I plan to get it repierced at another place when it's healed. I don't mean to be too harsh on York Ink; after all, both of my friends that were pierced with me are not having issues with their healing, and I should have realized that my nickel allergy could have been a potential issue. However, I wasn't given any other jewelry options; I was given the horseshoe and rushed along into the line, which is an overwhelming experience for anyone new to piercings. There's no way a $10 piercing uses titanium. If you decide to get pierced here, definitely ask about the jewelry being used.
